THE APPOINTMENT

  • DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO COME LOOK AT WEDDING DRESSES/MOTHERS?

    Mirror Mirror Inc runs on an appointment only basis. We do accept walk in appointments, but only if there is availability. We recommend booking an appointment on line or calling ahead to reserve your one on one time with your very own Fairy Godmother. 

  • HOW LONG IS MY APPOINTMENT?

    Most of our brides find their dress on their first visit, which can range from 1.5 – 2 hours. In the event that you find more than one fabulous dress and can’t make a decision (it happens!) you can always make a second appointment. You can expect your second appointment to last about an hour.

  • WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO MY WEDDING DRESS APPOINTMENT?

    We want to meet the special people in your life who build you up and give you confidence. In order to maintain the tranquil nature of our shop, we ask that you respect the 3 adult guest maximum on Saturdays and 4 adult guests the rest of the week. If you would like to bring a larger group you can arrange for a private appointment with up to 8 adult guests for a $100 fee. 

  • CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO MY WEDDING DRESS APPOINTMENT?

    We love kids, and value their safety, which is why we ask that you find another option for them while you are looking for your dress. The reality of a bridal shop is that there may be beads, pins and other small objects within their reach. Such items can easily become a safety hazard in children’s hands. We also believe that you deserve this time to focus on yourself, finding your dress should be a relaxing and pampering experience. Car seats and strollers are also tripping hazards for our Fairy Godmothers. Infants are unpredictable and can become fussy. We want to maintain the relaxing fairytale atmosphere for all of our customers. Please make other arrangements for our little friends so we can focus on you. Paid appointments are available on a Tuesday or after hours if no other options are available.



  • IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD BRING WITH ME TO TRY ON DRESSES?

    Nude colored undergarments work best while trying on dresses. We recommend a strapless bra if you have one. We do require that you wear proper bottoms, a panty or thong during your appointment. If you do not have proper bottoms with you then you have the option of buying some new ones (Kinney Drugs is right down the street) or rebooking your appointment. Keep in mind that your Fairy Godmother will be helping you dress, so some brides prefer to wear items of additional coverage such as stockings or shapewear for the sake of modesty. We recommend trying on dresses barefoot and bringing a pair of shoes to try on your favorites with. Your feet will thank you and we will be able to measure the gown of your dreams to your height. 

  • SHOULD I BRING IN PICTURES OF MY FAVORITE WEDDING DRESSES OR SHARE MY PINTEREST BOARD OF WEDDING DRESSES?

    Absolutely! We want to learn everything we can not only about the dress, but your entire wedding. The more information we have to go on the better! With that said it is also important to keep an open mind while looking at dresses. We encourage you to try on different silhouettes and styles. The perfect dress may be hanging on a rack you didn’t think of looking on! 

  • CAN I WORK WITH THE SAME FAIRY GODMOTHER/OTHER?

    I love my Fairy Godmother, if I come back can I work with her again? Don’t be surprised if you form a deep connection with your Fairy Godmother (or Fairy GodOther) who can be one part best friend, one part therapist and one part magic. Finding your dress is a process and they will be by your side whenever they can. You can let us know if there is someone you feel close to and want to keep working with. You can also let us know if you would like to switch, sometimes new energy can work wonders! 

  • CAN I BRING ALCOHOL TO MY APPOINTMENT?

    Alcohol is not allowed on the premises. There are many fun places to celebrate in Baldwinsville. Please ask your Fairy Godmother/other for recommendations.

DRESS SHOPPING INFO

  • WHAT ARE THE PRICES LIKE?

    Respecting your budget is very important to us. Most of our dresses range from $1400-$2800, we also have a selection of  discontinued dresses starting at $700.  Your Fairy Godmother will help you stay at the budget you are comfortable at.



  • WHAT SIZES ARE YOUR SAMPLES?

    The sample dresses in our shop feature sizes 4-28, but we can order sizing 0-38. Our Fairy Godmothers are specially trained to clip dresses to you so you can see the shape and fit, even if the sample dress is not your size. 

  • I HEARD THAT BRIDAL SIZING IS WEIRD?

    It is! Bridal sizing is about two sizes smaller then off the rack sizing. For example, if you wear a size 10 in normal clothes then you would look for a size 14 in bridal. But don’t get hung up on the size, we like to think of everything as being “size unicorn” meaning all of the numbers are made up and you are beautiful no matter what. 

  • CAN I TAKE PICTURES OF MY FAVORITE DRESS?

    Of course you can! We only recommend taking pictures of your favorites though, lets focus your camera on the positive! 

  • WHEN DO I NEED TO ORDER MY DRESS?

    Honestly, as soon as possible. Before the pandemic we would have told you that all of our designers take 4-6 months to order. Now not only has the timeline changed, but shipping and supply chain issues have made answering this question unpredictable. Officially we will give you a timeline of 6-8 months, but your dress may come in sooner.  Our designers do offer rush and super rush options if you would like to guarantee that your dress comes in faster. 

  • MY WEDDING IS THREE MONTHS AWAY, CAN I STILL GET A WEDDING DRESS?

    Absolutely! With the world being so uncertain we made sure that have lots of dresses that you can take home today. Even brides who have time to order sometimes prefer to take the dress that is in the store because it eases their stress level to know that their dress is safely in their home. 



  • I FOUND A DRESS I LOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE, CAN I ORDER IT THOUGH YOU?

    Mirror Mirror Inc cannot order wedding gowns from designers we do not carry in our boutique. We urge you to be careful if another bridal store offers to do this, as the bridal industry and it’s many hardworking and creative designers and manufacturers frown on this behavior and refer to it as unethical. When you do business with us, please be assured you will never be a victim of unethical business practices. It’s simply not our style!



  • HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO PAY TO ORDER A WEDDING DRESS?

    Many brides pay the full amount at purchase but you can order your dress for as little as 50% down. Payment plans are also available. 

  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT ARE ACCEPTED?

    We often joke that accept all forms of money, all major credit cards and cash. We can send you an invoice to pay digitally. We accept checks for down payments on special orders, but not for final payments or off the rack purchases. 



  • IF THE WEDDING IS CANCELED, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?

    While we sympathize with your circumstances; due to our contractual obligations with designers, we are not able to offer refunds, exchanges, store credit or cancellations. There are no exceptions. We can, however, refer you to some of our favorite charities in hopes that you can make someone else’s day, and in some cases even get a tax credit.



  • IF I ORDER A DRESS AND DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN IT COMES IN, CAN I SEND IT BACK?

    We are a no pressure sales environment, and will make every effort to ensure you are comfortable and confident in your decision to say yes to your dress. Please understand, due to our contractual obligations with designers, we are not able to offer refunds, exchanges, store credit or cancellations. There are no exceptions. 

  • DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS ON WEDDING DRESSES?

    We want every bride to have her perfect wedding dress. We do offer payment plan options for our brides. Be prepared to secure your dress with a minimum of half of the total of the dress to begin your payment plan (minimum down payment depends on the cost of the dress).  You then have 30 days to pay your balance if you are buying a dress off the rack or you can set up an automatic payment withdrawal system if you are ordering a new dress.

  • DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS?

    We do not offer in house alterations but we do have a list of talented tailors and seamstresses in the area. Finding someone to work on your dress is similar to finding any other vendor for your wedding, you should do research, read reviews and feel a comfort level with them before committing to have them be a part of your big day.
